I love the way this smells. Do they have a shampoo or conditioner that has the same scent?

Nope, I was looking for it too, lol!
I love that stuff! It works so good on my curls!

Can I Use Black Hair Care Products On My Hair?

My friend has a boyfriend who’s mixed race with over half black and under half white. But she was feeling my hair the other day and she said my hair felt exactly like his… I was always asked if I was half black cuz of my hair, even though I’m white with darker blonde hair lol. But he uses black hair care products, and I was thinkin maybe thats what I need to make my hair more manageble…. if its gonna fro, then fro with style right? Anyways what do you think? Also I’m not a hair stylist so I’m not sure what black hair care products are and what they do.

From what I have come to know is that ‘black’ hair care products contain more moisturizers than regular shampoos and such because our hair tends to go from moist to dry when it gets dirty. Whereas, with the ‘other’ kind of hair, it is the opposite. It goes from dry to oily as it gets dirtier. That type also doesn’t want all the moisturizers because it would flatten or weigh down their hair. Black hair craves moisture to look healthy and handle the styling tools we use. Most other hair looks healthier when it is not drowned in styling products and solutions. So depending on which way you hair is should define what may be best for you.
My bad, well same difference, if you want to sport a Fro definitely Do It with Style.

I have been searching for quite some time for hair products that can be ordered and delivered to the UK. I would order internationally if an option exists. I need items in wholesale lots- cases. And salon specific products such as Dudleys, Avalon, Keracare, African Royale, African Pride, Motions, Mizani etc and various supplies such as combs, hot plate stoves to 220v, flat irons, capes, etc etc. If anyone can help it would be much appreciated. I have found one GOOD US supplier of these items, but they are not a wholesale company. Any price difference from US$ to UK£ is eaten up in delivery/import/customs fees.

hi, have you tried www.afrocare.com? they have a large range of items for black hair care. also if you contact me through my site and let me know more about them items I can check with some of my hair supply wholesale companies to see if they do these brands.http://www.beeunique.co.uk/index.php?mai…

I have been purchasing Dominican hair care products for over half a year now, but with a new addition to the family arriving soon :o ) I have to start cutting down on how much and what i spend money on :( has anyone found a good site that sells dominican hair products or natural hair care products at reasonable prices?

You can always try ebay too! Its where I buy some of my natural products cheaper.

Does anyone know how I can become a model for a black hair magazine?

Check with local agencies in your area. They’ll be able to give you the best advice about how to get your foot in the door with those magazines. You’ll want to make sure this is the way to do it also, so that you aren’t ripped off due to the lack of an agent. They (whoever you decide to visit) don’t necessarily need to represent you, but they’ll be able to tell you who can. Good luck!

perhaps, just the plain names as they are? or if anyone can come up with something else catchy? i’m also using these essential oils in some of the soap, and some of the soap will have no added ingredients for sensitive skin: tea tree, lavender, lemon and tangerine? thanks.

I think the first two are fine as they are but the goats milk soap could be called a Baa of soap :)

I recently came across this site, longhaircareforum.com, and it’s a hair care forum for black women- mostly who want to grow their hair long. As a black woman it was weird to read about all the lengths (no pun intended) these people are going to to try to grow their hair long… using all kinds concoctions, pills, and brands generally found in low budget beauty supply stores. I couldn’t believe when some said they used Monistat on their HAIR to make it grow! WTF! Then they have all these crazy abbreviations to describe everything… Idk, it’s just weird.
I guess it seems pathetic to me because I’ve always had very long, thick hair and I don’t know what it’s like to not be able to grow my hair like most of those women. I feel sad that they don’t realize that it does’t matter what products you use on your hair, IF IT WON’T GROW IT WON’T GROW! It’s GENETICS!

I actually read threads on that forum on a regular basis, and it’s not only about the females wanting to grow their hair out. There are people on there who are trying to transition from relaxed to natural, have diseases or sicknesses that stunt their hair’s growth, are trying to make their hair more manageable, and some people who have made mistakes and just need advice on how to fix those particular mistakes….It’s not weird at all. I personally know of people who have hair down their backs, but it’s stiff, dry, and unhealthy…The length is not the only factor. There is also the moisture, sheen, body, and overall health of the hair that you have to look at. That is why these women go through all of the lengths (no pun intended) that you speak of.

ello jello. im 13 and i have spiraly curly african american hair. I got my hair foiled last year in may and from that ive gotten HORRIBLE split ends. i just got my hair trimmmed after more than a years worth of dammage. that helped because my hair has gotten thicker.. but there are still split ends and my hair is very dry and frizy ((black hair. soo duh.)) and i was wondering if anyone jnows if there are any good products between $0-$15-20$ that target:::

My fifteen year old daughter has very long curly hair and she swears by Garneirs Fructis for all of her hair products. And yes she’s Afro-American also. A lot of the times you can find the products on sale in one of the drug store circulars. We go to Rite Aid and Walgreen’s the most. I know several other Afro-Americans who also use the products I hope this helps you, I’m not sure how long your hair is but my daughter’s hair is about two to three feet long and if you wet it it curls up and loses about a foot of hair. When she leaves it to dry by it’s self it will curl up into spiral curls. Her hair is also thick so these things might also help you like they did her.

First off decide if you would like your hair to be long or short. Take note that most emo girls either have medium length hair or short hair above the shoulders.
