YouTube - Black Men-Natural Hair

Black men wearing most locs and a few afros. Real short and simple but I think it’s a nice selection of diverse types of black men.

I live in the Lansing area but would be willing to travel as far as Chicago for a good salon specializing in black hair. I need a perm and don’t want to pay tons of money but want to find a good stylist. Looking for a funky fun atmosphere where they can REALLY do hair. and won’t cut it all off to start over…don’t know why that happens every time I go to a new salon. Please Help.

There is a great salon : Leon’s Gentlemen’s Choice Barber Salon (Don’t let the name fool you the DO hair in the salon) 2 River Place Suite A, 170th Torrence Ave Lansing, IL. Ask for a great stylist : Gail Washington or call (708) 474-1459 for an appointment.

I just had the rest of my permed hair cut off (I’ve been in transition for over a year), so I’m looking for someone that can style my hair and also teach me how to care for my hair the RIGHT way. :-)

I went natural back in 2003 and it has been the best. I don’t see a hairstylist any more. I press and curl my own hair. I had to learn how to do my own hair and believe, it is now shoulder length strong and healthy. I clip my ends once a month and wash once a week. I use Design essentials or Kera Care products. Let me know if you would like more information.

hair is too long for an afro and I don’t want to cut it or keep it in a ponytail

Do you not want to cut it? Get a cute hairstyle, do you own an iron to do yourself, or have someone to help you? Get a perm and trim it up into a style.
I have always really like Haley berry’s hair, it’s sassy and sexy…. and looks very easy to manage

May be you are one of those many people who asks the same question again and again that which of the available hair loss product would be best. The same question appeared on the answer site of Google and can you believe the expert didn’t really have a definitive answer?  Apparently, There can’t be any suitable answer for the question.
But the experts are right, as it is not possible to find a perfect answer for that question, but yes one can ask the same question in a different way for getting a suitable answer, like which product would be best for my hair loss problem. Still this question is not quite specific to be answered easily, yet one can find an answer through trial and error.
Most people start out experimenting with natural home remedies.  However, a few of these are truly unacceptable.  For example, I’ve seen some people recommend applying cow dung to the scalp.  Cow dung?  I’m sorry it’s just not practical.  However, there are some home remedies that may help with the problem:
· One can apply sage tea with apple cider vinegar and a combination of a number of different oils, like almond oil, olive oil, amla oil and castor oil. Before application of the oil it should be warmed for a feel good experience.
· Giving a treatment to your hair with coconut milk, egg yolk, honey and aloe vera gel can produce a rejuvenating effect on your hair.
But each of these substances should be carefully washed out after a while.  There’s no need to do the same in case of sage tea & apple cider.
Products For Hair Care:
The best hair care product for your hair can be a shampoo or a conditioner a well. Different people have different choices, like Nizoral shampoo is famous among some people while some people would like to use Mane and Tail shampoo. Still hairdressers have their own opinions while choosing the best hair care products.
Remedies That Are Herbal In Nature:
There are people who believe in nothing but the natural products for their hair loss solutions, but only an herbal expert can suggest the best herbs for the same. There are various plant based products available in different forms and a few of the important ones are described below:
Several of the products are taken in the form of pills or in the form of lotions that you can directly apply on to your scalp, like Saw palmetto, Ginko biloba, Chinese herb “he shou wu”, Stinging nettle, Aloe vera and Pygeum. Remember use these products with special care.
Many people would only recommend Minoxidil (Rogain®) as the best solution that is available over-the-counter. It equally effective for women as it is for men, but the discontinuance of this remedy leads to reappearance of the hair loss.
Medications Available On Prescription Only:
There are some drugs that can only be obtained on a prescription (e.g., Propecia) that is beneficial.  Apart from these remedies you also have the option of wigs & weaves that are more suited in case of temporary hair loss or in case of hair loss arising due to chemotherapy.
You are the last person who is going to choose the right solution for hair loss, so you must analyze  treatments first before going for a particular hair loss treatment. It is not necessary that every person will find the right product in this way, but one can only hope so.

You’re hair would look best like a Caramel color with Dark brown highlights. My best friend is Vietnamese and that’s the way she has her hair.
To grow your hair faster use Mane and Tail Shampoo and conditioner. You can buy it at walmart for about 8.00It is made for horses but is used by people. It makes your hair grow very fast.
If your not comfortable trying horse shampoo then stop by your hair designers and ask him/her for their recommendations.
Also go to a salon instead of doing it your self.I go to Canvas Hair Design to get mine done.Normaly my hair is dark brown but now its caramel with black underlights.Salons make it look natural and it does less damage to your hair.I get mine done every month and it looks natural.
HOPE I HELPED,MERRY CHRIST MAS.

Imagine what you would do if you knew miracle working beauty secrets. And if you had the self confidence that comes with being beautiful.

Now before you laugh and say you’ll never be beautiful, listen up.

I know where you’re coming from! At one time I didn’t know any beauty secrets. Before I learned any beauty secrets I was plain, even bordering on ugly.

I had acne, chapped lips, weight issues, wardrobe disasters, and not so white teeth. But that’s all become past with the 5 beauty secrets that have changed my life.

I pulled through all of my beauty nightmares and learned some valuable beauty secrets as a result.

Now people are always commenting to me on my beauty. Saying I should be a model, etc…. And guys are no longer even an issue! I don’t have to look for them, they come to me.

It turns out the best beauty secrets are those that are won by personal knowledge and experience. Not just by reading general tips in magazines.

So by experimentation over the years and by perseverance, I’ve found out what really works and what doesn’t.

Beauty Secret 1
Unchap and beautify your lips with this technique.

For soft, beautifully kissable lips, you need the following: a washcloth (I’m not kidding either), warm water, and your favorite brand of lip balm.

First you apply a coat of lip balm. Then wet one corner of the washcloth, put the warm wet corner of the washcloth between your lips, press them together and hold for 5 seconds.

Then gently massage any remaining lip balm from lips with the wet corner of the washcloth, and dry lips with a corner that’s dry.

Apply lip balm again to keep your lips chap free. You may also apply lipstick or lip gloss on over the layer of lip balm.

I learned this was the best way to keep lips from chapping, after going through too many winters with dried, and chapped lips.

Beauty Secret 2
Clear your acne, and get beautiful skin.

For clear glowing skin, a little home remedy does wonders for my complexion, as it should with yours too.

Steam your face for 20 minutes every night after washing it, then every other night after steaming your face, massage a half teaspoon castor oil over face.

Leave it on at night while you sleep and wash off immediately upon waking.

Steam face for twenty more minutes in the morning after washing. When you finish steaming your face splash your face with cool water and dry it.

If your skin starts to show any signs of a pimple forming. Take one night off from steaming and applying castor oil and apply Benzoyl Peroxide over face.

Take the next night off also from the steaming, castor oil, and benzoyl peroxide. Continue facial regimen with steaming and castor oil the following night.

This beauty secret will moisturize your face at the same time it will help clear up acne and pimples. But only if you work at it consistently.

Beauty Secret 3
Good taste in clothes.

When shopping for clothes try to stay away from really big prints, or weird mixes of colors (eg. green, pink and blue flowers combined on a white background, for instance).

Clothes like these just scream “I’m color blind!” And if you in fact, actually are color blind, always shop with a friend who isn’t and has good taste in clothes.

Buy basic colors. Solid reds, pinks, blues, whites, and blacks. Or things with small tasteful prints and designs.

Then mix and match each basic color with a corresponding one (blue goes well with white, pink, and sometimes with red, and different shades of the same color almost always go well together).

Put these beauty secrets to use, and start seeing the benefits today. Be sure to read Part 2 of this article, which contains the last 2 beauty secrets.

In Part 2 I’ll teach you the beauty secrets for whitening your smile without draining your bank account. And how to use clothes to your advantage by hiding figure flaws and defects.
