I’m using the Cantu Shea Butter Products on my natural Afro before I get dreadlocks. Is this a good idea to do? Should I stop using these products? Are they going to interfere with the locking process? So far I’ve been using the leave-in conditioning creme, daily moisturizer, and the pomade…….Please help!!!!!

its not good dreads should use3 zero products (however african hair can require additional moisturizung so use aloe vera or shae butter very sparing only when too dry)
in other types you want to 1st strop all build up get away from conditioners use sea salt sprays to dry the haor so it locks.
after they are mature they can handle conditioners better, but steer clear of anything thay leaves residues . never use dread wax or dreading gel (unless its just aloe vera)
use a residue stripper like nutragena daily clarifying 1st to remove buildup and return hair to its natural state.
then read up on the link provided on methods..i recomend natural highly. but thats your choice to make.
every product you will need can be home made and home grown. never go to a salon or buy into the dread kit scams.
